purple powder in appearance. Insoluble in water, soluble in benzene, chlorobenzene, xylene, dimethylformamide and other organic solvents. It is dark green in concentrated sulfuric acid, olive color after dilution, and then red light blue precipitate.

It is mainly used for colouring of polystyrene, ABS resin, UPVC and other resins, as well as for colouring of polyester stock, oil products and cosmetics.
