Vat Blue 6 (Vat blue BC) is generally blue-green powder. It is insoluble in water, acetone, alcohol and toluene; slightly soluble in chloroform (hot), o-chlorophenol, pyridine (hot), brown in concentrated sulfuric acid, and blue after dilution. The leuco body formed by the dye in the alkaline powder solution is green blue, and the acid powder solution is red blue.
Mainly used for silk dyeing, levelness and affinity are good. Used to stick/cotton blended fabric cold dyeing, uniform color. Also can be used for polyester/cotton two bath dyeing. Can also be processed into organic pigment.
1.When used for cotton product dyeing or dip dyeing, it is most suitable to use A method. When color matching is used, it can also be used in B. When dyeing with A method, the dyeing temperature is 50~55°C, and the temperature will be too high. Halogen (chlorine) reaction, return to the molecular structure of reduced blue RSN, the color of the light is green and slightly dark, and the chlorine fastness is reduced. Generally, it is reduced by the whole bath method, and the reduction temperature should not exceed 60 ° C. If it is reduced by dry cylinder, The bath ratio needs to be properly enlarged. The dry cylinder recovery time takes 10 minutes and the dry cylinder stabilization time is 15 minutes.
2.Vat blue 6(Vat blue BC) leuco body has higher affinity for cotton fiber, and the leveling property is general. The dyeing curve is shown in Fig. 4-5-23. It has a fast dyeing rate, and it is easy to produce uneven dyeing and chromatic aberration when dyeing. If appropriate amount of retarding agent such as kraft rubber is added, it has better leveling effect. It is sensitive to hard water, so the chemical and dyeing water should be softened. After dyeing, it should be washed and oxidized immediately. It is not suitable to use dichromate oxidation. Otherwise, the color is dim. If soda is added to the soap, it will make it full of color.
3.mercerizing and chlorine-resistant fastness, mostly used for dyeing and light color, such as yarn-dyed yarn, towel, sheet, etc. If it is green after bleaching, it can be repaired by using thin powder bath treatment. In addition to dyeing and dip dyeing, it is also one of the commonly used dyes for suspension dyeing and color matching.
4.Vat blue 6 is used for cold dyeing of cotton viscous textiles, which can obtain uniform color. The viscose fiber component is darker at 50 ° C. It can also be used for dyeing of vinylon fabric, fine powder for suspension of cotton blended fabric. Body padding, the color is basically the same. It is used for polyester/cotton blended (65/35) fabric dyeing, polyester component has slight stain (cyan), and can be hot melt dyed with disperse dye in the same bath.
5. Printing and dyeing fabrics are finished by resin, and the color light generally does not change.
1. Vat blue 6 is easy to over-reduced. The amount and temperature of the insurance powder should be strictly controlled during dyeing. If it is dyed above 50 °C, adding some sodium nitrite in the reduction tank can avoid excessive reduction.
2. The leuco body is sensitive to hard water. The chemical and dyeing water must be softened first, or a softener such as sodium phosphate may be added to the dye solution.
3. leuco body is prone to excessive oxidation, generally not suitable for alkali oxidation, otherwise the color is dim and green.
4. Vat blue 6 should be stored in a dry, ventilated place to avoid moisture.
