Sulphur Green 3 (Sulphur brilliant green GB) is also known as sulphur brilliant green G, sulfurized green 2B. The appearance is blue-green powder, the strength is 100%, the fineness (60 mesh sieve residue) ≤ 5%. The color light is similar to the standard product, the free sulfur content ≤ 2.0 %. It is slightly soluble in water. It is olive in sodium sulfide solution, dark blue in concentrated sulfuric acid, dark blue precipitate after dilution. The dye is orange in alkaline foam solution, and can return to its original color after oxidation. All faded in the sodium hypochlorite solution.

Sulphur Green 3 Use condition:

1. Sulphur Green 3 (Sulfur brilliant green GB) is suitable for dyeing cotton, hemp and viscose, and also for dyeing of vinylon.

2. Soft water is suitable for dyeing, and the dyeing of cotton is good. The dyeing of vinylon is slightly poor, the shade is darker, the depth of color is close to that of cotton fiber, and the dyeing of cotton blended fabric is acceptable.

3. Sulfur brilliant green GB is also sometimes used for direct cotton printing and leather dyeing.

4. Sulphur Green 2B In application, it is necessary to strictly control the amount of sodium sulfide and the dyeing temperature. Too much amount of sodium sulfide and the increase of dyeing temperature will cause the color of the dye to turn blue.

5. After dyeing, it can be oxidized by air, or it can be oxidized by hydrogen peroxide or sodium perborate. The color of the dye is bright blue green. It can improve the light fastness and resistance by using copper sulfate or sodium dichromate and acetic acid in the same bath. Wash fastness, the color is blue and deep.

6. Sulfur-brown green GB and other sulphur dyes are dyed in dark green, crab green, blue-green and other colors, and the color is brighter.

Precautions

Sulphur Green 3 is easy to absorb the moisture in the air and deliquesce agglomerates, oxidative deterioration, should be stored in a ventilated and dry place.

Suitable for cotton, hemp, viscose and vinylon/cotton blended fabric dyeing, also used for cotton direct printing, a few used in leather and paper dyeing.
