insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, blue light black, soluble in benzene and toluene, soluble in oleic acid and stearic acid. It is blue to blue black in concentrated sulfuric acid, blue black precipitate after dilution, and blue to blue black in concentrated nitric acid. The dye is a multicomponent mixture.

Preparation method: the preparation methods of different compounds are as follows: (a) nitrobenzene, aniline and aniline hydrochloride are heated with iron or copper at 180t-200t to make free alkali; (b) nitrophenol or nitrocresol, aniline and aniline hydrochloride are heated with a small amount of iron at 180t-200x to make free alkali.
