The appearance of Basic Violet 14(Basic magenta) is yellow-green flash crystal block or sand block. It is soluble in cold water or hot water and is reddish purple. It is very soluble in alcohol and red in color. It is insoluble in ether. It is yellowish brown in concentrated sulfuric acid and almost colorless after dilution. It is yellowish brown in concentrated nitric acid. The aqueous solution of the dye is purple, and sodium hydroxide is added to become almost colorless solution, followed by a red precipitate.

Basic Violet 14 (Basic rubine) dyeing on silk or acrylic fiber is bright red purple, yellow under tungsten light. When dyeing, pH value of dyeing bath.

Basic Violet 14 Application:

used for paper, leather, feathers, bamboo, wood, shading.

Use condition:

1. Silk dyeing: suitable for dyeing silk, carried out in an acetic acid bath.

2. Acrylic dyeing: used for dyeing acrylic fiber, adding retarder in acetic acid bath, good dyeing fastness, dry cleaning fastness 4~5 grade, shrinking fastness 5. It is often combined with malachite green (CIBasicGreen4) The black color of the dyed acrylic yarn can be obtained in black and black, and the light fastness is significantly improved compared with the case of separate application.

3. Wool dyeing: The dyeing fastness dyed on wool is poor, the light fastness is 1~2, and the soaping fastness is 3~4.

4. Cotton dyeing: It can be used for tannin mordant cotton fiber dyeing, but the dyeing fastness is poor.

5. Others: It can be used for coloring and manufacturing lakes of leather, paper, feathers, wheat straw, bamboo and the like.
